Kadima: What Is It?
Kadima is the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism's youth program for individuals in the seventh and eighth grades.
The purpose of Kadima membership is to involve Jewish pre-teens in a meaningful relationship with Judaism in an environment that is religious, educational, social, and fun. Through Kadima membership, young people can find their identity as Jews.
Membership in Kadima entitles you to participate in all Kadima activities. Every Kadima member also receives Kol Kadima a quarterly magazine that includes stories, games, articles about Jewish topics, and other activities of interest.
Kadima encourages young people to pursue their Jewish education which leads to the performance of mitzvot and strengthens involvement in the social needs of the community.
Kadima provides the setting for social, athletic, and recreational activities within the atmosphere of a Jewish way of life.
